Reading Enables Adult Development

Students

Success for most students is based on their motivation to reach their personal goals and their willingness to practice reading on their own.

What if the tutor and student are not a good match for each other?

This experience is intended to be mutual and rewarding for both the tutor and the student.  If there are personality differences or challenging issues, it is important that you contact the Tutor Coordinator and request a different tutor.

What if the student cannot attend the tutoring session?

It is important for the student to let the tutor know in advance if he or she is unable to make a tutoring session prior to the meeting time.

If the student can no longer attend the scheduled sessions due to personal reasons (job, illness, family responsibilities, etc.), the tutor may be able to accommodate and change the meeting time. If there is a scheduling conflict the student may be assigned a different tutor.
